The School Leader Recruitment and Support Program (SLRSP) is the only federal program with an exclusive focus on investing in evidence-based, locally-driven strategies to strengthen school leadership for students and teachers in high-need schools. If funded in FY 2020, 100 percent of grants would support leadership in the schools and communities with greatest need. To advance equity and spur the next generation of effective leadership development programs and partnerships, Congress must reinstate $14.5 million for SLRSP.
